Snag City

Ok, so we can't find Chico on the OR schedule for tomorrow.  He's been still all day, minutes ticking by like hours, the pic doesn't seem to be working.  And this morning's blood clotted before it got to the lab.  Drat.

Nurse Michael,  "I'm going to raise you up so that I can get better access."
Chico, "Like raise me from the dead?"
Nurse Michael, "Yeah, towards the light."

  1. Sorry to hear about the snag, hopefully that will all get straightened out. Those are some impressive chin ups though...nice pictures.

  2. Miles of life before you. I will talk of mundane thing because I do not know what else to say. I have listened to many albums today and have decided the Leonard Cohen is probably my surprise favorite. I will send you a copy. I'm sending one by Hayes Carll for spunk. We loved the concert and he sang most of the songs. If I was there, I would sing one to both of you. Then I'd recite Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are" which I know by heart. Take care. Both of you. Take care for your own inner strength.

  3. Wow...I hope you guys get some clarity about the surgery (kind of a big thing). Hoping for the very best for tomorrow. Hang in there (both of you).

Lots of love from 49 Mountain St.

    with you in all ways.

  6. To familiarize ourselves with the virtue of patience, it is very helpful to think of adversity not so much as a threat to our peace of mind but rather as the very means by which patience is attained. From this perspective, we see that those who would harm us are, in a sense, teachers of patience. Such people teach us what we could never learn merely from hearing someone speak, be they ever so wise or holy.~ Dalai Lama
